4th of July

I made a promise to myself that I would learn how to use my nice camera when we had a baby.  Well, Margaret is here and I've been working on keeping this promise because Bill and I both agree that we want higher quality photographs of our little lady and family instead of always only having iPhone quality ones.

Heartbeat 5000

Today was a phenomenal day.  Our team was able to fundraise over $1,600 to be donated to the Cardiovascular unit at Children's!  Since this was the first year we have participated in this event, we were not entirely sure what it would be like.  Now that we've gone through it once, we are even more excited to participate every year.  We are very thankful that events like this exist and we are able to "give back" to the hospital that provides such critical care to many children and has become so important to our family.  Here are a few pictures from the day.

Mother's Day

Today was an extra special Mother's Day for me as we celebrated our beautiful baby girl getting baptized! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all who shared in celebrating with us today. 💕

This time last year we quietly prayed and nervously celebrated you as we had just found out about you, little miss! You are our biggest blessing and we are so grateful that God chose us to be your parents. 

Welcome Home Photos

I have the best sister. For weeks while we were in the hospital Jessie had set up a photographer (Cari Dugan Photography) to come and take some pictures of Margaret for us but things kept coming up and we canceled several times. Well, when we finally got discharged Cari came to our house and did a session with us to help document our first day home! The pictures are great and I never would have taken the time to reach out to a photographer because I was so overwhelmed with being in the hospital. These photos will be cherished forever and I can't express how grateful I am for the best sister ever. She always looks out for all of us and her excitement for being an aunt is unmeasurable - Margaret can't wait to get into mischief with you! "AUNT JESSIEEEEEEEE!!!"

made her grand entrance into our lives on

January 5th

bright and early at 1:20 am measuring a whopping 6lbs 15oz. and just over 20 inches long. 

We are completely smitten and if we could love her any more, our hearts would burst! 

Margaret has a heart condition that is being closely monitored by the wonderful doctors and nurses at Children’s and we feel extremely blessed to have the resources that we have available to us, especially the NICU team. Please keep this cutie in your prayers and we will update as we are able. 

THANK YOU to everyone who has already been texting/calling/messaging/etc. and for being so patient with our lack of updates - we are still taking it all in and reading the baby manual
